Heast as scho' – Goisern goes Country

"Everyone who knows me knows that I do not like to repeat myself", says Hubert von Goisern about himself. Bluegrass, country and accordion: it may not sound like Goisern but now it is. "It was time for me to delve into exploring the United States, country music to be precise, which is very similar to our folk music."

A man reinvents himself: Hubert von Goisern went looking for music in the South of the US and is starting his fall 2014 tour with new songs through Austria, Germany, Liechtenstein and Switzerland. In the documentary "Heast as scho‘ – Goisern goes Country“ (Do you hear 'em already) the film maker Florian Gebauer accompanies Goisern himself, his band and his team. "The beginning of a tour is always pure stress, despair, fear of failing", says Hubert. On the stage, however, all fear disappears and Goisern is in his element. "A sound cannot lie", he says determinedly.

The film shows an intimate perspective behind the curtain of a musical tour and shows a new side of Hubert von Goisern himself. He combines the bluegrass vibes with his very own tradition, which geographically comes from the alps but nevertheless spans the whole world in a musical sense.
