"Hope has always motivated people to take on difficulties, however impossible to overcome they may seem." In the fourth part of the series "Mr.Schuh and...", essayist Franz Schuh and filmmaker Florian Gebauer are on a search for hope.

The Rahmooni family, refugees from Syria, are hoping for a peaceful life in Austria. Anthropologist Traude Pillai Vetschera is paraplegic after having suffered a serious accident. But she found hope in spite of her condition and travelled all around India for many years.

Our hope can make us heroines and heros. "Because of hope we bear tremendous suffering and pain, hoping that they pass eventually", muses Franz Schuh. But hope has powerful opposing forces: desperation and disappointment.
